Preparation

• Ensure that the handpiece is clean and free from any debris or contaminants.
• Check the bur compatibility and select a suitable Ø2.35 surgical bur for your specific procedure.
• Connect the handpiece to a compatible power source or surgical unit.

Attachment of the Bur:

• Hold the handpiece firmly in one hand.
• Locate the twist chuck mechanism at the front end of the handpiece.
• Rotate the chuck in the counterclockwise direction to open it.
• Insert the shank of the selected surgical bur into the chuck.
• Rotate the chuck in the clockwise direction to secure the bur in place. Ensure it is tightly fastened.

Powering On:

• Activate the power source or surgical unit to supply power to the handpiece.
• Ensure that the speed control is set to the desired speed for your procedure (up to a maximum of 40,000 min-1).

Operation:

• Hold the handpiece in a comfortable grip, ensuring stability and control.
• Position the handpiece's straight head at the desired surgical site, aligning it with the target area.
• Gently apply pressure to the handpiece, allowing the bur to make contact with the target surface.
• Begin operating the handpiece by activating the foot pedal or using the control buttons on the surgical unit.
• Control the speed and movement of the handpiece based on the specific requirements of the procedure.
• Make precise and deliberate movements, adjusting the handpiece's position as needed to achieve the desired surgical outcome.
• Regularly inspect the handpiece and bur during the procedure, ensuring they remain clean and free from debris.

Bur Removal:

• Once the procedure is complete, power off the handpiece and disconnect it from the power source.
• Locate the twist chuck mechanism and rotate it counterclockwise to release the bur.
• Remove the bur from the chuck carefully.
