The GDC Root Bernard Elevators are precision dental instruments designed for effective tooth extraction. Featuring thin, precisely angled tips and a large diameter handle, these luxating hybrids enhance apical and interproximal access, facilitating improved oral adaptation. They aid in preserving the buccal plate by carefully serving the periodontal ligaments during atraumatic extractions. The Bernard Right Elevator is specifically designed for lingual-buccal luxating, while the Bernard Left Elevator serves a similar purpose from the opposite side. Crafted from high-quality stainless steel, these elevators ensure durability and reliability, making them essential tools for dental professionals performing delicate extractions.

  • Material: High-grade stainless steel
  • Tip Design: Thin, angled tips
  • Handle Size: Large diameter
  • Functionality: Luxating teeth while preserving buccal plate
  • Types: Bernard Right and Bernard Left options
  • Length: Approx 15cm
  • Autoclavable: Yes

  • 1 x Bernard elevator

  • Preparation: Ensure the elevator is sterilized and the patient is comfortably positioned
  • Identify the Tooth: Locate the tooth that requires extraction and assess its condition
  • Insert the Elevator: Choose the appropriate Bernard Elevator (Right or Left) based on the extraction angle. Insert the thin tip of the elevator into the periodontal space between the tooth and the alveolar bone
  • Luxate the Tooth: Apply gentle pressure while rotating the elevator to luxate the tooth. This action severs the periodontal ligaments, facilitating tooth removal
  • Preserve Surrounding Tissue: Use care to preserve the buccal plate and surrounding tissues during manipulation
  • Extract the Tooth: Once adequately luxated, use forceps to complete the extraction
  • Post-Extraction Care: After extraction, clean and sterilize the elevator for future use
