  • Before starting the procedure, ensure that the patient's mouth is adequately numbed with a local anesthetic to ensure a pain-free extraction experience.
  • Hold the AFX13 forceps in your dominant hand, ensuring a firm and comfortable grip on the handles.
  • Examine the patient's mouth and locate the lower premolar tooth to be extracted.
  • Position the beaks of the forceps around the crown of the lower premolar tooth, ensuring a secure and firm grip.
  • Apply controlled and gentle pressure to the forceps handles, directing the force towards the tooth's root.
  • Use a rocking motion or rotational movement to loosen the tooth from its socket. Be careful not to apply excessive force to avoid damage to surrounding tissues.
  • Once the tooth is sufficiently loosened, use the forceps to gently and slowly lift the tooth out of its socket. If needed, use slight wiggling motions to ease the tooth out.
  • After the extraction, ensure the extracted tooth is intact and inspect the socket for any remaining fragments or debris. Use appropriate instruments for socket cleaning if necessary.
  • Provide post-extraction instructions to the patient, including proper oral hygiene practices and any necessary pain management guidelines.
  • Properly clean and sterilize the AFX13 forceps after each use following the recommended infection control protocols.
